TODO:
* Dump Laserdiscs

NOTE:
- Galaxian 3 is a walk-in style arcade game run on a hybrid of laserdisc and traditional arcade hardware. The arcade uses two synchronized laserdisc players to create the pre-rendered backgrounds of the game, and each player takes the role of one of six stationary gunner positions defending a spaceship against an onslaught of enemy ships. Each player shares the same life meter. It was one of only two games released for Namco's "Theater 6" arcade system, the other being its immediate sequel Attack of the Zolgear. The arcade cost $150,000 (USD). The game was originally a theme park attraction which debuted in 1990, four years before the arcade version was released. It used a 120" wide display utilizing twin projectors and seated 28 people simultaneously in a hydraulic gaming area. There was also a simplified version of the attraction for 16 players which didn't have as many of the bells and whistles as the original 28 player version. The attraction eventually closed in 2000.

WIP:
- 0.147: WIP Namco Galaxian 3 cleanup/modernization [Aaron Giles].
- 0.146u4: Phil Bennett removed C140_TYPE_SYSTEM21_B banking in Galaxian 3. Correct sound banking (i.e. the sound ROM size) is determined via a DIP switch.
- 0.145u7: Aaron Giles fixed Galaxian 3 crashed after OK (paletteram32_r/w regression).
- 0.141u3: Atari Ace removed unneeded #include lines in Galaxian 3.
- 18th January 2011: Warren Ondras - GALAXIAN 3 'Project Dragoon' LD rip *WIP*: I finally had some time this week to work on this, and have most of the capturing done. I am going to do a couple more captures with different settings, but we're almost there. I discovered a few things along the way... There is a digital audio track! This is the first game disc I've seen that has one. (If we had only used your LDP-1450, we'd never have known about it!) The audio is different on the digital vs analog tracks. I was able to get a direct digital copy of it with a newer player and optical cable. I was able to make a video file that combines the left and right screens...
- 0.135u2: Galaxian3 update [Naibo Zhang]: Fleshed out skeleton driver. Each CPU board passes many self-tests. Master and slave CPU comms hooked up. Removed 68000 CPU6/7. Changed 68020 CPU1/2 clock speeds to 24576000 Hz and 68000 CPU3 to 12288000 Hz. Added 2x C140 (21390 Hz) sound, dual screen (2x 512x512) and dipswitches. Fixed samples rom loading.
- 28th October 2009: Naibo - Galaxian3 Theatre6 progress: The 2 68020 CPU boards has been able to pass many self test items(indicated by LEDs), and the master CPU uploads a lot of data to the slave, if given some patch/hack. Among these data, there are: DSP code, mathmatic tables, 2D sprite palette, come test code... From the sprite tiles, the 2d palette seems extracted correctly. Update DarthNuno: DSP board details now available right here: http://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=538.0
- 0.132: Tafoid and Fujix changed year to 1982 (Arcade TV Game List book).
- 0.128u5: Andy Welburn added Galaxian 3 - Theater 6 : Project Dragoon (Namco 199?).
- 10th September 2008: Phil Stroffolino - Galaxian 3 is one major step closer to being preserved, and I'm quite excited and honored to be involved. Information can be seen at http://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=457.0
