A jewel heist gone wrong sees Mr Burns's sidekick, Smithers, kidnapping Maggie and making his escape. Between one and four players take on the role of either Homer, Marge, Lisa, or Bart in this colorful, horizontally-scrolling beat-em-up from Konami. Each Simpsons character possesses an attacking move specific to them; Marge is armed with a vacuum cleaner, Lisa has a skipping rope, Bart has his skateboard, and Homer fights with his fists. The players must battle their way through a variety of Simpsons-themed levels

Magic Knight (simpsons0103ora2): With regards to the problem with the bonus stage where the balloons get corrupted, I've never seen this on my PCB, though it's reported as happening on the real thing, maybe there are slightly different hardware revisions to fix this. Machone: According to Guru's readme attached to The Simpsons driver in 0.128, the vertical refresh rate for this game is 59.1856 Hz. MAME currently lists it as 60 Hz.

- 0.36b2: Ernesto Corvi added The Simpsons (4 Players) (Konami 1991) and clone (2 Players). Note: The first time you start the game, you'll get an EEPROM error. Keep F2 pressed and hit F3 to initialize it. To enter service mode, hit F2 while the game is in attract mode.
